Counterbalance valves, also known as overcentre valves, provide an all in one solution for cylinder load holding and travel speed.
Fine adjustment is a feature within the vave, it allows you to control the travel speed of the cylinder in controlled directions by simply turning the appropriate adjustment screw.
An important note here is that to be most effective and to meet Australian Standard AS1418.8 these valves should be hard plumbed to the cylinder, i.e., no rubber hose between valve and cylinder.
