Sequence valves are generally used to activate a second cylinder once the first has reached the end of its stroke.
They are a simple, cost-effective alternative to using pressure switches, electronics and multiple valves.
The DSV dual sequence valve can be used to drive to separate sequencing functions, two entirely separate functions or extend and retract on one set of cylinders
With dual ports on both A and B lines, you could potentially feed two sets of sequencing cylinders.
A sequence valve works similarly to a relief valve, once a cylinder (or possibly motor) reaches the end of its stroke, the pressure will rise and open the valve, allowing oil to flow to a second cylinder.
Our range of sequence valves all contains an internal check valve, allowing free flow on the return stroke.
The DSV sequence valve is available in 1/2” BSPP, they are aluminium bodied and have a maximum working pressure of 260 Bar.
